tart cherry drizzle

tart cherry drizzle has endless possibilities and is high on the lip smack-ability index. tart cherries are beneficial because they are high in antioxidants and phenolics, helping to reduce deposits of uric acid in the joints and therefore reducing painful feelings associated with inflammation. they also contain melatonin and that helps us turn out our own lights at the end of the day and sends us into a restful sleep. a concentrated cherry juice is the equivalent of eating 60 cherries for every ounce consumed. that’s a lot of pits to deal with and a lot of spitting to do. currently in my refrigerator is stanton orchards tart cherry concentrate:

Stanton Orchards Montmorency Tart Cherry Concentrate is a 100% pure, all natural product. There is absolutely nothing added. No additives, preservatives, food color, or sugar is added. Our Montmorency Tart Cherries are freshly harvested at the peak of their ripeness. Then they are pitted, filtered, flash-pasteurized and then cold filled. We DO NOT pasteurize our concentrate a second time during the bottling process because this significantly or in some cases completely eliminates the levels of nutrients in the product.

this is an easy recipe and requires just a few moments to stir it together.
