parsley is one potent little plant that packs a powerful punch nutritionally and i make sure to eat some just about everyday! it is extremely high in chlorophyll, the green pigment found in plants. chlorophyll is vital for the process of photosynthesis which allows a plant to obtain food directly from carbon dioxide using energy from the sun.

that makes parsley a warehouse of energy, creating its own food, producing its own power and giving it an ability to improve your circulation, increase your energy and help detoxify your liver. mix the parsley up with some pineapple, a tropical fruit that contains the proteolytic enzyme bromelain, and you greatly aid your body in the digestion of proteins. the addition of the pineapple also helps prevent blood clot formation and is beneficial in the treatment of high blood pressure. this smoothie is as easy as they get, adding more pineapple or more parsley to suit your palette but personally i go very heavy on the parsley.

I loooove parsley in my smoothies and green juice. I didn’t start adding it until this year, after I learned about my mast cell issues and issues with histamine. Parlsey was recommended for me to put in EVERYTHING because of its anti-inflammatory effects and all the nutrition! This is super simple and I will probably make it today! (:
